Main fields of activities:

1. Budget plans:

     - Formulation and implementation of water resources planning, planning amendment projects regarding exploitation, protection and development; recommendation of measures for preventing, overcoming damaging effects caused by water in river basins and territories of Southern provinces.

     - Formulation and implementation of basic investigation projects and programs; water resources investigation, assessment and inventory, including: exploitation and use, actual status of regression and pollution, measures of protection and development, inventory of water quantity and quality in territories of Southern provinces.

     - Setting up, managing and operating water resources monitoring network, collecting and processing water resources data and information.

     - Implementing and participating in implementing programs, projects, scientific and technological researches regarding water resources; applying, transferring scientific and technological results regarding water resources.

     - Implementing tasks of geothermal, thermal water, mineral water, mineral mud investigation and research; engineering geological investigation in territories of Southern provinces.

2. Contractual plans:

     - Setting up and realizing projects of water resources investigation, assessment,  planning, monitoring, exploration and reconnaissance and asking for water and minerals exploitation license (including thermal water, mineral water and mineral mud); building ground water production engineering, drinking and waste water treatment plants, water supplying systems for domestic use and industry, maintenance of water exploitation engineering; implementing geotechnical investigation; foundation improvement; environmental geological, geothermal  investigation and environmental impact assessment; services regarding GIS technology, topographical and cadastral mapping; setting up water resources, topographical, geological, engineering geological, environmental geological database.

     - Consultancy on design, supervision in water resources, geological, engineering geological, environmental geological, geodetic fields;

     - Repair and supply of materials and equipment used in water resources field.
