2. PRODUCTION DRILLING |
Beside traditional direct circulation drilling method, at present DWRPIS mainly uses reverse circulation drilling method for production drilling. This drilling technique is suitable for drilling of high capacity water supply wells, abstracting water from soft sedimentary aquifer as in Nam bo area. Reverse circulation drilling method is now widely applied in developed countries because of its many advantages in comparison with the traditional method, such as:
- It can drill a big diameter borehole. - The porosity and permeability of the formation near the borehole is relatively undisturbed compared to other methods. - The borehole is straight and align and easily pump installation. - Increase the well efficiency. Reverse circulation drilling can carried out by using drilling rigs as DRILLCON, 1БA-15B and improved YPБ-3AM-500 (done by DWRPIS). These drilling rigs can drill borehole with diameter of 800mm and depth of 500m.
